An Election Day Problem

OK, let's say you have two candidates for one office. One candidate you have issues with because of his involvement in a political cover-up that affected you personally (financially). The other, you know one of his immediate family members that gave you the scoop on his maliciousness many years prior to his foray into politics. The office they are running for is a highly important one and shouldn't be simply skipped when voting. What would you do? I'll be voting this afternoon.

I have a similar situation here in VA. One of the candidates is a blatant racist and the other is a card-carrying member of the He-Man Woman Haters Club.

What to do?

In the big picture, control of the senate has to be taken away from the current party. I voted accordingly.

I agree with Chele. Vote for the one that will get the current party out. Unless you support that party :)

As an outsider looking in it seems that the only way to vote in the states is to hold your nose and pick the lesser of two evils.

@Chele
Y'all got a bad one brewin' in VA. Webb and Allen suck!

Webb might actually vote like a Repub if elected. I don't think he can be trusted.

@Sixy
I don't think I support either party. This two party system is murder on me!

If I take your advice, I'll vote for the wife-beater instead of the blackmailer.

@MizJJ
That's the only way to vote, PERIOD! Politicians have god complexes worse than doctors.

Well...you said that you're a forest man right? So look at the big picture...but I must agree with Chele, these asses in control now have to go!!!!
Have fun at the voting poll ;-)

Damn Zeddie...the wife beater or the blackmailer. Hmm...

Vote on the issues and who will represent your voting interests.

Unfortunately, it's for a job not for personality. Cause it sounds like bothe of those bastards need their asses kicked.

The wifebeatet?

@Mack
It's complex as hell. The blackmailer, in a long convulted way, is responsible for me being in SA. The wife-beater straight up terrorized a friend of mine. It's all personal and fucked up.

@Blah
Hi, Blah! How you doin'? Did you watch anything good on TV last night? How is work? What you wearin'?

@Dollface
Big picture wise, I think both these cats are untenable. I guess it's holding my nose for the wife-beater.

@Sixy
If I could personally fuck up these cats, ESPECIALLY the blackmailer, I'd feel great.

@Miss Ahmad
The blackmailer?

I'm not sure I trust a situation where one party's been in charge and they still claim to be the party of change.

If you can't run a "Boston" and you got all spades, why should I partner with you?

@IllNana
The wife-beater is one of my exes' father. Beat her mother throughout childhood. Suck ass father.

I'm really intrigued to know which race you are referring to.

A good solution is to Jimmy Hoffa both candidates if you have a cousin who has nothing to lose.

this sounds like an ugly situation either way. i have no advice.

@Bygbaby
I can't reveal who's who. But you'll be making the decision and able to do it with a clear conscience.

@Aqua
It sucks and I voted for the wife-beater. Sad day.

That's a tough one. I think most politicians probably got some messed up home lives and deep dark secrets, I would go with the one you feel would do the best for the state, city, county, community and put personal feelings aside.

do you. you gotta feel good about who you vote for.

Leave that part blank and vote for everybody else. I was faced with Lynch (racist Klansman) and Jack E. Robinson (his real name Black fool) on one part of my ballot. I kept it blank and kept it moving to the parts of the ballot that did not turn my stomach.

Dangerous thing about working in politics, you get to know all of the politicians' foilables and criminal activity up close and personal...you have to have a strong stomach and bullsh*t repellent.
